A good old kick up the arse (Day 5)

Today was productive and not at the same time.

Here's a lesson that I read about enough but have finally experienced; Invest your time in the right tasks.

So today started with me thinking about other products and services I could deliver as an individual. The list I have so far is as follows:

  • Wakes
  • Meetings
  • Gaming Events
  • Charity Events
  • Birthday Parties
  • Weddings
  • Sporting Events
Now I don't want to spread my net too thin; I need to pick a target market. Out of the events that I've listed 4 of them stand out so far:

  1. Wakes (Good open market, I've a lot of experience planning these)
  2. Gaming Events (ESports is a growing industry and there is hardly a trace of it in the UK)
  3. Charity Events (It would be stupid of me not to consider these)
  4. Sporting Events (This is a bit vague but focusing more on unique sports like Drone Racing, Soapbox Darbie )
This is interesting to me. Only now I'm writing this I can see a brand forming.

Anyway I will delve into this idea more tomorrow. But other than that I spent most of today working on the blog... and that's where the lesson comes in.

I've spent too much of today thinking and not doing. Maybe that's not the worst thing right now but I can't get myself stuck in this habit. I'm giving myself 2 more days of thinking time.

At the end of Week 1 I will put together all my plans in a Business Plan and start pushing forward with the business.

Also I'm going to start doing blog entries the morning after, this works better for me timing wise :)

Until next time,
Peace Out!
